Traveling east to visit family yesterday afternoon, I made sure my route took me past the newly-opened V&A East Museum on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park – hence the photo above – which had just opened to the public. I didn’t have time to go in, but I’ll be making time very soon.
It was a real pleasure to walk along Tessa Jowell Boulevarde in the sunshine and enjoy seeing the latest piece of the Stratford waterfront terrace of the East Bank culture and education terrace to come to fruition.
To find out more about the new museum and the V&A East Storehouse, also on the Olympic Park, which opened at the start of last summer, enjoy this recent Talk About London podcast, in which Leanne Tritton, chair of The London Society, and I talk to Tim Reeve, deputy director and chief operating officer of the V&A, about both of this fine projects, and more.
More Talk About London podcasts can be found on my YouTube channel, along with my separate True London series. All London Society podcasts can be found here.
